"And I'm on my knees looking for the answer..."-new song "human" from The Killers

Posted about 1 year ago

Yet another myeverpresentpast exclusive, new song from The Killers. The funny thing we were listening to The Killers on the radio this weekend and I was mocking them. Besides the acoustic version of "Mr. Brightside," their cover of Dire Straits "Romeo & Julliet" and "Read My Mind" I never really understood the success of The Killers. Most of their songs sound a bit overproduced. Brandon Flowers is a good songwriter and I appreciate it him aiming for immortality but let's face it he's not there yet.

Then again, Human is a step in the right direction. It has hit song layered all over it. Not bad, quite good boys. What do you think?

I was curious about the new album. But then they came up with this crappy single. Seriously guys, you need to up your game a bit!

On first listen, I thought it was just ok.

I thought Sam's Town was just ok on first listen as well, but now I greatly enjoy that album.

Maybe this will be true again, but Flowers still has yet to prove he is a better musician after ditching his pretty boy image for facial hair and more matured song material.

Like the song, heard it first on one of the late shows (Leno/Letterman/Conan).  Bet it's a big hit in the gay clubs.

Way too techno for me. I was thinking they were going to toughen up their sound a bit with this album. I guess I was wrong.
