WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

I rediscovered this acoustic gem of Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town by Pearl Jam. Such a good fucking song. I put on a mix I made for my drive to work. I sung the lyrics Small Town on the way home with the windows rolled down and the stereo cranked up. It's the only way to listen to music in the car, turned up with the road around you and the windows rolled down.

Small Town is my song of the day. This is one that I've been spinning all day long. Classic.

Oh, Pearl Jam. When I was 17, this song (album version) was a near-permenant fixture in my iTunes most played. This version feels a little like Automatic-era R.E.M., which is definitely no bad thing.

I prefer this version. More intimate. Not that I dislike the album version. Here's a live version that's equally as memorable.

I love hearing a live recording when the crowd sings along.
