Burning the Ground reminds me of my older brother Rene. Every Friday he'd pick me up after school, we'd cash our paychecks and go vinyl shopping. Burning the Ground was one of his favorite records. We loved the Barbarella samples in the beginning of the song. This rare mega mix was released December 1989, the year I graduated from high school. Has it been that long?

Never heard this before - they pretty much disappeared off my radar once the first era was over, but they've never broken up, have they? Here in the UK we've got Simple Minds (zzzz) and Spandau Ballet (semi-zzz) reforming to much hoopla, with Durans playing big venues for the first time in years. I'm curious to see what happens. The 80s nostalgia groove is in full effect!
