I'm Waiting for the Man (different take) - The Velvet Underground

Posted 9 months ago

I just discovered mp3 of the holy grail for Velvet Underground fans, The Norman Dolph Acetate that was bought by a vinyl enthusiast for 25 cents. They're not the highest quality fidelity wise but for historical purposes these tracks are essential for any V.U. fanatic. I do suggest you get a little bit lifted while listening to these songs. I chose this different take of I'm Waiting for the Man because there are no drums, the guitar part is different and the solo is quite bluesy.

Note to VU fans: Two more selections from the acetate can be heard on my next two posts.

Five minutes before seeing your post, I was looking at a piece on this acetate being one of the most valuable records in the world. How weird is that?

Fabulous to hear and really gives an added depth rto the "official" version. Fantastic photo of Lou as well.
