May 5th, Japanese Boys Day, Mexican Independence Day, My Brother's Birthday! Wooo Hooo. Of course for me, the latter is the most important one! Being Japanese, my mother always thought it was kewl to have her first son born on Japanese Boys Day. w00t!It's actually considered Japanese Children's Day but it's referred to more as Boys Day Festival since Girls Day is March 3rd. Families with boys celebrate this day to wish their sons good future. Koi (Carp) streamers are hung outside and samurai dolls put inside the house. They symbolize strength, power and success in life.
What a better way to celebrate the day for boys than throw up a little gamer vid with girlies in it! :DI think there's a bonsai show at the buddhist church nearby that needs checking out :D
