'k, I'm not the romantic, I've admitted I have a black heart, but amid all the "I hate Valentine's Day" posts, there are a few that are soo beautiful and sweet. For me, Josh Groban is one of the few artists I could listen to anytime, anywhere, he has this voice that just puts me in a trance. I know I've posted about him before, guess what? I'mmmm back! I've been a fan from early on in his career and he just keeps getting better with age. His latest album "Awake" is a combination of what got him to his point and what's to come. He's teamed up with the likes of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Vusi Mahlesela, Herbie Hancock, Imogen Heap, Dave Matthews, and for the song I'm posting he co-wrote with John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting. From the music box playing in "So She Dances" to the African sounds in "Weeping" back to his traditional sounds in "Mai", this album has it all. My favorite tracks on this album are: February Song, So She Dances, In Her Eyes, Lullaby and Weeping but really the entire tracklist is amazing.I love everything about the video I've posted, from the sounds of his footsteps, the beautiful building, the flecks of color to the sepia feel, but most importantly the song and the voice. So for all you peeps that share this wonderful world called MOG, my gift to you on this day is Josh Groban's "February Song".
