I got home today to find a nice box sitting outside my door. When I opened it I found the most amazing contents.

http://mog.com/caliscrnwrtr aka Alex sent me a wonderful Secret Santa Stash.

The contents were as follows:
CANDY!! hehe.Almond Roca to be exact!
An adorable Christmas mug filled with CANDY! hehe
A beautiful copy of "A Visit from St. Nicholas" with a gorgeous gold ribbon around it.
Three amazing mixes. Jazz, Blues and Ms. Billie Holiday herself.
And a note from Alex herself!
I'm listening to the amazing Jazz mix right now and I'll be listening to the rest tonight as I finish up making presents.
Thank you thank you soooo much Alex!
I think the story reads..
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house a creature was stirring, it was big and NO mouse!
The stuffing was flying all around in the air, in hopes that the squeaker in that dog toy was there.
Great music was playing, what a direction to be lead. While visions of jazz, blues and Billie Holiday danced in my head.

When I was a kidlet my pop would let us watch all the Christmas specials. I remember watching this when it was on the telly and falling in love with this version of the song. Fast forward umpteen years later and I'm working my first Christmas at the Warner Brothers Studio Store and this video pops on the big screen. All of a sudden I'm a kidlet again with my eyes glued to the screen. One day I was doing some work in the jewelry boat and didn't see the customer nearby, I guess I just started singing when the song came on and when it was done I was greeting with a "you have a very nice voice" followed by me turning beet red. I looked over at the register where my boss and other co-workers were and they had these huge grins on their face. Later on my boss there would tell me how it didn't matter where I was in the store when the video came on I'd get a huge smile on my face and start singing along. The thing is, I never even realized I was doing it.
I worked for Warner Brothers for 3 years, and they played this every year which made me super happy.
So from me to you, I wish you the warmest wishes for the holidays and a prosperous new year.

Yep, another song stuck in my head. Although I don't mind this one compared to the others.
It all started with a few Mogtiplyers and a best friend that kept talking about Guitar Hero. I finally purchased a set and too became addicted. Then it happened. While perusing the rentals at Hollywood I came across Guitar Hero III and took it home with me. I found myself sitting up all hours of the night like I had been since I got the game a week before. Then I discovered the bonus songs. Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs. I loved the song before, but it became embedded in my head. I played the song over and over to a point that I got pretty good at medium level. Then a certain sweet DJ played the song on their show and kept the tune rolling inside my brain. I thought a trip to Dimple and finding the CD used for less than$6, then having to return the game to the store would shake it from my head but I was wrong.
I've been listening to it all week in the car, and now have gotten a friend hooked on it.
I wish I could play like this person, although that is the same avatar I used.. heh:
and for those that feel cheated by a Guitar Hero version:
Weeeeeeeeeeee..enjoy and run around singing..
Ruby..Ruby..Ruby..Ruby....
