There was never a funnier person than Rosemary Clooney. She could match wits with any person at anytime. She really loved to talk to her audiences on a person to person basis. And of course, she talks about her nephew George.

I was lucky enough to see and meet and chat with Rosemary Clooney many times in New Orleans.
She loved talking about her family very much.
One of her sons is married to Debbie Boone and when Debbie got pregnant Rosemary started to revive her old song "Where Will The Dimples Be" and after the baby was born she would song "Come on a My House and add at the end "And if you want to see the cutest baby in baby history Come On a My House".
The last time I saw her in a show called "4 Girls 4" with Helen OConnel ,Rose Marie and Margaret Whiting Debbie and her husband and the baby were in the audience and I got to meet them all.
She was so proud to introduce me to them all and we talked for over a half hour after the show. Rosemary Clooney was one of those rare singers who I will never forget for making her fans feel like their were part of her family also. Just like Vikki Carr who is always keeps top of her fans feelings.
Do you have and can you post "where will the dimples be? I love that song and dont have a copy of it.
I never had the chance to meet Rosemary Clooney but I did meet and chat with Debby Boone and Gabriel Ferrer several times before and after their marriage. Rosemary was thrilled that Gabri was dating Debby and
then when they married Rosemary sang "I'll Never Say Goodbye" at the wedding ceremony with 500 in attendance. There wasn't a dry eye in attendance! When their first born (Jordan) came along, Rosemary postponed a singing engagement in Acapulco in order to be there for the arrival of her first grandchild.
After Rosie's untimely death, Debby recorded a tribute to her beloved mother-in-law entitled, "Reflections of Rosemary". Debby inherited all of Rosemary's music and this CD, Reflections of Rosemary, is a fitting tribute to the woman that so many of us loved.
Dear Ory and txtboots!
Ory, I found three cd's that have the same performance of "Where Will The Dimple Be." The best one is on Collectables and the title of the cd is "Date With The King: On Stage Tenderly." It has 3 ten inch LP's, the one which has your song is the "On Stage" recording which was recorded live at the London Palladium and released by Columbia Records in the middle 1950's.
Txtboots: Thanks for the lovely words! I was really touched! It's always untimely whenever a great performer like Rosie passes on. She sounded like she could still have the gas to keep going on for a few more years.
Thank you guys for the wonderful comments!
Yours very truly,
