In 1992, Vikki Carr recorded a sumptuous album titled “Brindo A La Vida, Al Bolero, A Ti,” continuing in the long stretch of recordings she had been making since 1980 for the Sony label for their Mexican division. To these recordings she brought her familiar high standards of perfection in choosing the right songs to record. “Una Mujer” is a perfectly whimsical song with a light Latin beat which features at the end a surprise - a chorus made up of all of the people involved in the recording including the arranger of this chart Bob Florence and Vikki Carr. Together, it makes for a light hearted performance.
