The Mills Brothers Sing "Solitude"

Posted about 1 year ago
“Solitude” started out life as a last minute instrumental on a recording session in 1934, being composed in less than 15 minutes. Later that year, Eddie DeLange added the lyrics and this is the version that the Mills brothers sing for us. The tempo is set at a slow swing which makes for a lovely experience. Of special mention is a rhythmic trombone performance that helps to keep the mellow tone of this great song.

  4. musikfriend says brittanybf: Well, Herbert was the leader so he's the guy on the right. Harry is the guy on the left also seated then there's Donald who is standing at the right. Donald was the soft spoken one. But all together, they made up one sophisticated and elegant threesome. Yours truly (and hope this may clear some things up), musikfriend
