Matthias Pintscher Plays the last 2 movts. from Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin"

Posted over 2 years ago

The last two movements contain music which goes ever so much into the heart. Indeed, it is very heartbreaking music we find in the graceful Menuet which contains one of the few times Ravel publicly let emotional guard down and expressed true pain and anguish at his loss of a friend. The Riguadon is all mischievous humor with almost dual role. The middle section is a very coy one that quickly and suddenly reverts to a suddenly boisterous ending.
