Natalie Cole Sings "I Haven't Got Anything To Do"

Posted about 1 year ago
In 2002, Natalie Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole and niece to this week’s stars Freddy and Ike Cole, came out with an album titled “Ask A Woman Who Knows,” songs dealing with love, jealousy and the whole nine yards with songs new and old, borrowed and blue. “I Haven’t Got Anything To Do” (written by Lee Pokriss and Paul Vance) is artfully set by Rob Mounsey in an opulant arrangement for orchestra with beautiful accompaniment by Joe Sample at the piano. And in spite of the sarcastic title of the song, it’s actually about waiting for that phone call (the best known song of this genre is “It Must Be Him” by Vikki Carr).
