Nat King Cole Trio Plays "(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons"

Posted about 4 years ago
November 22, 1948 finds the trio in a sentimental mood with “(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons” which was written in 1947 by Deke Watson (words) and William Best (music). After a brief piano introduction, Nat’s vocal takes us into a very tender hearted rendition with only the guitarist playing a brief but telling performance. It’s all very beautiful and lovely.

  2. musikfriend says runobodyii! Thanks for saying that! Nat's other recordings are on the same level. I have always said that Nat was one of the great song stylists, sometimes surpassing Frank Sinatra. Thank goodness most of what he did both as a pianist and singer are all out there to be discovered! Yours very truly, musikfriend
