Thanks to "Breezin'" Benson won Grammy Record of the Year Award for "This Masquerade." Two years later, Benson had another a hit "On Broadway" from his live 1978 album "Weekend in L.A." A Quincy Jones produced record of "Give Me the Night" made it into the number 10 spot on R&B and pop charts with at least 3 other platinum records and two gold albums. In 1985, George Benson teamed up with Chet Atkins to play on two numbers of Atkins' "Stay Tuned." From this collaboration came "Sunrise." In 1992, George Benson appeared on an album with his old boss Jack McDuff on the latter's album "Color Me Blue." In 2006, Benson worked with singer Al Jarreau on an album "Givin' It Up," which they took on a world tour that encompassed America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Today, George Benson still tours around America and the world, sharing his unique gifts as both musician and singer to an appreciative world stage.
