Nat King Cole Sings "Stardust"

Posted 2 months ago

When Hoagy Carmichael created "Stardust" in 1928, he had no way of knowing that this simple song of love's regrets and gentle memories of a lost love would become one of the best loved songs in the history ofthe American song book. And one of the loveliest interpretations was recorded by Nat King Cole in 1957 with a marvelously luminous arrangement by Gordon Jenkins. This video expertly catches the meaning of the song and its hidden message of a gentle reverie of an old love, never to be seen again but oh so much in the memory.
