This is one of very few examples of Sy Oliver not only singing but also playing trumpet which he almost never did due to the heavy demands of being on the Dorsey arranging staff. His singing is very soft and sensual, his trumpet playing comes into the same category as you’ll hear from this broadcast of March 26, 1943 in front of an adoring group of dancers.
