Today is "Bella Voce Day" in which we will be hearing two beautiful voices. The first is the always lovely to hear Karen Carpenter who was taken from us way too soon, just when she was on the verge of becoming a better and greater artist. One of the most unusual aspects of this recording is that she opens the song with its opening verse. Billy May, who worked with Frank Sinatra, provides a lovely arrangement. Karen Carpenter's version is justifiably the best among a list of greats who have recorded this time-honored classic.
