Oscar Peterson Plays “When Lights Are Low”

Posted 6 months ago

Another fine one by Oscar Peterson, "When Lights Are Low" comes from the France of 1923 with original words in French by Rene Brisson and an English version of the music and words by Gus Kahn, Ted Koehler and band leader Ted Fiorito. It's a slow paced performance with all of the familiar runs on the keyboard by Oscar Peterson at his very best. You can clearly hear the awe in my friend's voice.

    Themba,

A little Oscar Peterson goes a long way on a Sunday! He was simply the greatest. Peterson is always one of those people whom everything sounds good, it does not matter what the music is, he always makes it sound great!

    Yours truly,
