Oscar Peterson Plays “Easy Does It”

Posted 8 months ago

"Easy Does It" reminds us to be gentle to ourselves and not burden ourselves with more than what we can handle. This is Oscar Peterson's approach as he lays down the easy-going, good natured mood of this work with a medium tempo rendition that is very relaxing sounding. Ray Brown maintains the pulse on his double bass better than anyone else could have done and Ed Thigpen adds little rhythmic fillers that provide a crucial background to Peterson's imaginative playing which ends on a peaceful, quiet note.
