Frank Sinatra Sings “All the Wayâ€
-
Artist:

The 1957 biography picture of comedian Joey Lewis, "All the Way," found Frank Sinatra the right property to showcase his new found style. Lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jimmy Van Heusen wrote this marvelous tune about the memorable qualities of a true love. Once again, Nelson Riddle turns in a masterful re-arranging of his own chart, substituting a big band instrumental break with that of a powerful strain for just strings backed by trombones and French horns. Frank Sinatra, turns in a memorable performance that provides much more wisdom in the intervening years with this fabulous song.

Just so you know...of late my after-work routine now includes my nightly Sinatra fix. Thank you for this most exquisite series.
DMDM,
You are very welcome! The Sinatra/Riddle albums are probably the greatest recordings ever made by an arranger and singer. As FS said, Nelson Riddle expressed both elation and depression better than anybody he had ever heard before or since. Everytime I hear these records, I believe he is right! Hope you enjoy the Sinatra goodies that are coming!

I'm sure I will. Thanks.
One of my very favourite Sinatra tracks. Thanks for the listen.
toronno,
It's very hard for me to admit which Sinatra recording is my favorite. However, this is his best recording of this song because it catches the romantic feel and everything sounds as right as rain--or as close to perfect as is possible!
Thanks for writing!
Yours truly,
