I always knew that my sweet tooth would be the death of me, I just had no idea how soon. The weapon came all the way from Greece and it was almost too pretty to open, tied with an orange bow (my favorite color, though she couldn't have known that!) I have a new hobby. I have become addicted to searching editing histories on Wikipedia for vandalism. Hilarious vandalism. Does anyone else do this?? I could rant forever about how much I enjoy them and how fabulous they are live (I've seen them 3 times here in State College), but I will save that for another day. i was walking across the parking garage at my job last night and it was sunny and warm and i could just see the "hollywood" sign and it was such a lovely day and this song popped on my ipod and i just couldn't stop dancing :)

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon a notice from WXPN offering up a free Matt Pond PA/Jesca Houp show... I didn't wait to get a concert buddy. Before any show there must be eats. We did that at Frjtz on Valencia to fuel up on fried stuff and killer sandwiches. The wife and I finished our meal and headed towards the GAMH to meet up with D. We were there early enough to be the first in line so we grabbed our tickets and headed straight in. D told me he had called MattP to put us down on "the list" and we were able to grab Chris the tour manager. Dan Crowell was the first to greet us to take us into their room.... MORE

Right... here's the thing... this guy's artwork is, in a word, brilliant. John Mavroudis finds ways to tug at me in countless directions with each of his pieces. The bitter with the sweet, ancient with future. One of the minor drawbacks of starting a new job is the fact that you're constantly looking over your shoulder to see if you're not following "the rules" of this foreign place. Yeah I said it, Al and all his talk about global warming is nothing more than a bunch of lies as far as I am concerned. Actually, I am a firm believer in global warming but seeing the snow come down for the last 15 hours makes me wish it had more of an effect on the current weather conditions in Minnesota.
