I've discovered a number of new (to me) artists over the past year, many due to suggestions from all of you here on MOG. But the past couple of months has been a dry spell for me. However, this morning I stumbled across a group whom I greatly look forward to buying the album of (once I get a job, that is). Joan As Police Woman is downright incredible. Joan As Police Woman - Eternal Flame mp3
I'm no big fan of adult contemporary, but this song is sooo good. Considering it's coming from a woman who left a long trail of punk behind her. Oh and she's also been involved in projects with Rufus Wainwright and played violin for Antony and The Johnsons.
Just give it a listen, her voice is honey-coloured for sure.
