A six metre high sculpture of Big Ben in recycled cans was erected on the Southbank of the Thames near Jubilee Gardens and the London Eye on Sunday June 1st and was photographed with the real thing in the background.

I finally got to see a band that I've been waiting a long time to see. A band not from this era but from the period I know and love called classic rock. That band is ZZ Top. If you couldn't tell from my screenname, I like ZZ Top a lot. I have all of their albums from their debut up to Eliminator. You know "Sharp Dressed Man", "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Legs". You know cheesey 80s fake drums and key sounds and funny beards on everyone but the guy named Beard.
Most of my buddies (guys in their late 20's early 30's) have written ZZ Top off as some marginally fun 80's cheese pop with a blues and country tinge.
I was one of them.
