I love everything about Youssou N'Dour's cover of this John Lennon song. The first thing that made me sit up and take notice was the delicate and intricate percussion - - it's the kind of thing good speakers were made for. Youssou is one Africa's best and best known singers. Here's a link to his Wikipedia article.His style of music is called mbalax. He runs a great band called the "Super Etoile de Dakar" (Super Star of Dakar). He sings his songs in Wolof, French, and very occasionally in English.
