This has been one of my favorite songs for the last 2 and a half months, so it's great to see a video made for the track. The clip is gritty and stylish but I really dislike how they drowned out Kanye's verse. Kanye West combined two elements that would typically annoy anyone. First, he's crying about the price of fame and confusion in his life. Boo hoo I can't handle my millions of dollars! Although nobody ran away with a armful of awards last night, Kanye and UGK took home two awards each at the BET ceremony. UGK secured awards for Best Group, and Video of The Year for "International Players Anthem". Yeezy nabbed "Best Male Hip Hop Artist" and "Best Collaboration" for Good Life with T-Pain. US rapper Young Jeezy has been arrested in Atlanta on suspicion of driving under the influence and speeding.
Police stopped the singer, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, on Wednesday (June 18) morning after noticing there were no license plates on his car. Jeezy, who collaborated with R&B star Usher on Love In This Club, was charged with seven offences including driving impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Mr Jenkins has been released on bail and is due in court next month. As ... MORE

This is rumored to be the first single off Jeezy's new album. Word on the street is it's being played like crazy on Atlanta radio stations this weekend. Kanye comes in on the last verse and liberally uses the vocoder/talk box, but other than that I think it was great.

Atlanta based artist Young Jeezy was arrested early this morning following a fracas at a gentlemans club called Strokers. According to Allhiphop, the arrest followed an incident outside of the club around 4am, "I do know that there was no physical altercation between them, This was a verbal confrontation." I met Yung Joc yesterday at a magazine interview my sister is doing. I don't love his music - not a huge fan of the rap music the kids are making these days. From what I've heard, he's milking the gangsta-snap-crunk fusion formula. Nothing interesting or new there. I asked one of his interns what Yung Joc was known for - did he have a gimmick? He did a quick toss of his hand and a snap and indicated that the "move" could very well be the young rapper's legacy.

I'm watching "106 & Park" and was about to gripe about how the last decent gangsta rap album (Rick Ross - "Port of Miami") came out LAST SUMMER...how all the new stuff on XL Raw (on XM satellite radio) is crap...the beats suck...the lyrics suck...how many songs do we need about how big your rims are...OK, we get it... Although it was reported that the tour could be in jeopardy because of legal problems with the promotion company, things are proceding as planned. Other performers joining the tour are Rich Boy, Baby & Jim Jones.
