From fever blistered shriekback to gentle rolling vistas, they cover a gamut of styles while maintaining their sound, their identity. I like Yo La Tengo. For many years they have been consistantly entertaining & challenging, building a career on paying homage to the conventions they shatter. And make no mistake, homage it is. And shatter they do. Rearranging the resultant shards into shapes at once familiar yet strange.
