Compiled from six of his finest recordings, these selections illustrate the composer's gift for translating fantasy into sonic reality. Each cut is a world in itself, in which luminous zither cascades and tribal percussion tracks alternate with joyous folk dances and oriental melodies for full string orchestra that soar over waves of synthesized sequencer patterns. A good introduction to the varied moods of Yas-Kaz (most of his recordings are rare Japanese imports).
