Though I still haven't really figured out the benefits of Facebook, its ability to connect you to old friends is kinda neat. I had never heard XTC before, but I have _Black Sea_ now. First thought is that someone needs to mashup "Living Through Another Cuba" from this record with James Brown's "Living in America", famously from the _Rocky IV_ soundtrack. They almost sound like the same song but with different emotional/political filters applied. While various folks flat out don't care, or even doubt the steady demise of good record stores, Tower lies like a stricken old man in a hospital bed, with greedy relatives picking the emaciated soon-to-be corpse of anything valuable. Hopefully there are a few folks out there who remember XTC's 1980 classic "Black Sea". Most folks remember XTC from the song "Dear God", which was a great song, but XTC is such a deep band. You absolutely have to check out "Black Sea" "English Settlement" and "Skylarking" - their three easiest records to get into. It's totally amazing to see how this band evolved from a punk band into these pastoral geniuses. This track, "Towers Of London" was done at time when they still... MORE
