Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse saw to it that Wolf Parade was signed to Sub-Pop records. He also produced their debut album Apologies to Queen Mary, prior to which they had already self produced two EPs and an EP on Sub-Pop. Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade (And Frog Eyes, if you want to get technical. He used to be in Frog Eyes, now he kind of is) was very good friends with Carey Mercer of Frog Eyes...
