I get to see them in September when they make a stop at El Rey, i live just a few blocks away so it's even convenient. But They are easily one of the best sounds I have been exposed to in years. Supposedly music is statistically proven to be good for your brain when doing math. I know that for me it's one of the only times when working I can listen to music at the same time. Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse saw to it that Wolf Parade was signed to Sub-Pop records. He also produced their debut album Apologies to Queen Mary, prior to which they had already self produced two EPs and an EP on Sub-Pop. Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade (And Frog Eyes, if you want to get technical. He used to be in Frog Eyes, now he kind of is) was very good friends with Carey Mercer of Frog Eyes.
