All Music GuideIndependently released, Rural Free Delivery finds Whiskeytown in a bit of a transition from local heroes to national spotlight. Rockin' country pervades R.F.D., especially on "Take Your Guns to Town," while the acoustic side comes to the fore on "Tennessee Square." While not essential, "Rural Free Delivery" is a fine batch of tunes that fans of Whiskeytown will love to hear. It's well worth seeking out.
