During the latter part of the LP era Fantasy, in their Milestone two-fer program, repackaged and reissued virtually all of Wes Montgomery's recordings for that label. This two-LP set features Montgomery in a trio with organist Melvin Rhyne and various drummers from 1959 and 1963. The material originally appeared as part of the Wes Montgomery Trio, Boss Guitar and Portrait of Wes; in addition there are two "new" alternate takes apiece of "Moanin'" and "Blues Riff." Highpoints include "Missile Blues," "Jingles," "Yesterdays," "Besame Mucho" and "Freddie the Freeloader."
