Amazing WEEN So-Cal Screenprints by Gigart
about 1 month ago

San Francisco artist, Gregg "Gigart" Gordon, has been the the screen-print game for a minute and has produced some of the craziest and most recognizable rock posters over the last 10 plus years. One of the things that I really like about Gordon's , beyond the consistent innovation in his work, is that he is [...]

    I'll miss you

On the 19th, I was fortunate enough to catch a rare solo acoustic performances by Aaron "Gene Ween" Freeman. Over the last week or so, I've simply been going through the photographs that I took and digesting the whole experience. The Gene Ween Band hits Brooklyn

Heath Ledger killed the Joker (ha-ha). Everyone is concerned with originality and ownership. But c'mon folks, "Why so serious?". If the ending results of an idea are more crisp and refreshed under new and loving inspiration, then I welcome them. Is this the case for The Gene Ween Band? What? "The Gene Ween Band is a side project of Aaron Freeman of Ween" says their official MySpace. Aaron "...

Gene Ween posted a brief note with some great news about his health… Hi Everyone….I want to thank everyone for the well wishes, I'm recovering well from this pneumonia that I believe I'd been "walking around" with before it manifested itself fully a day after the last GWB show in Asbury Park. Hella WEEN (La Cucaracha / Live in Seattle)

I don't think that I will ever forget the first time that I listened to the band WEEN. I was in the back of a white 1980 Datsun 210 sedan with soft light blue interior. I had recently ingested a plus-size hooker's corpse-load of cubensis and, being inexperienced at the time, I was downing fistfuls of them like I was going head to head with Takeru Kobayashi at the Nathan's on Coney Island. Mog is a cat in this series of books that tends to get up to a lot of no good but in the end is loved unconditionally by simple minded children despite how many times Mog fucks up. (hmmm...seems like a familiar story somehow)I think our Mog has been huffing on a Scotch Guard Bong. Things seem to be running real slow and making no sense.
