I just received a promo copy of the new Warrant cd “Born Again”. Now I wasn’t a big Warrant fan in the 80’s, as they were a bit too poppy for me, but I did dig the band Black N Blue, and now that Warrant have Jamie St. James (ex-Black N Blue) singing for them, I was anxious to check it out. Wow, that was a fun walk through my Jr. high school days. This album was one of my favorites and still is. I'm not really sure why I listened to it today but I sure enjoy the feelings these songs bring back. No! Cherry Pie was not my favorite, even though I LOVED to dance to it, Uncle Tom's Cabin and Blind Faith now those two songs I could listen to over and over. I love how music can just ta...

There are a lot of good reasons to hate the so-called "hair bands" - the crass, low-brow wannabes who took '70s glam-rock and heavy-metal and dumbed them down to fabricate a poor excuse for a movement - glam-metal, if you will - in the 1980s.
