Part new studio album, part retrospective collection, Warlord's 1986 release, Thy Kingdom Come, compiled eight numbers previously heard (sometimes in different versions) on the group's two earlier official releases (1983's Deliver Us EP and 1984's And the Cannons of Destruction Have Begun) with a pair of unreleased tracks, the gothically inspired "Mrs. Victoria" and the oddly named "Hands and Feet (Thunderchild's Farewell)." Also featuring such crucial tracks as "Aliens," "Child of the Damned," and the Metal Massacre, Vol. 2 standout "Lucifer's Hammer," this set did a fine job of reflecting the underappreciated group's unfulfilled potential, but would effectively be supplanted years later by 1993's more extensive Best of Warlord.
