This two-fer from the lauded/hated Los Angeles hard rock quartet collects 1986's Inside the Electric Circus and 1988's Headless Children. While the band had already peaked in 1985 with Last Command, both records had their share of decent tracks. Circus is the weaker of the two, though it does include their only hit other than "Blind in Texas," a cover of Humble Pie's "I Don't Need No Doctor." Children found the group attempting to shed its hair metal image by focusing on tightly crafted songs as opposed to off-stage antics and ghoulish makeup.
