So, Voxtrot is no longer the best kept secret as their debut release has started to pick up some ground. Pitchfork didn't like it too much, but who gives a fuck. Normally, I agree with a lot of what Pitchfork reviewers have to say (I'm one of those), but sometimes they're so way off I wonder why I even view their site.

I finally got around to listening to Voxtrot, another Austin,TX band. I really, really like this album, it's a real charmer.
I hear moments of Belle and Sebastian, some Decemberists, as well as some more straight ahead pop stuff....just good songs really, here is one of my favorites off of the disc.

The Start of Something is probably one of my 3 favorite songs of the year, it always puts me in such a jovial mood! im so glad that music can cheer you up like that.
well it appears i haven't been on mog for quite a while. i suppose this calls for a post. so hows everyone been? lately i've been listening to voxtrot a lot. man they are amazing. so last night i was in the car with one of my friends as we were driving to the mall from applebees to meet up with a couple of friends and he had like the best music collection in the world. thanks to my lovely memory i forget every single band he played for me. im disappointed in myself. an...
