does anybody know what song this is?

appended to this post is a self-recorded reproduction (i.e. i am performing it) of the only fragment of this song that i remember. the first time i heard it was in 2004 or 2005, and i know that it's by some alternative/indie band or artist with a female vocalist. if anybody knows i'll be forever indebted; it's been bothering me for years now. i wish i could give you more, but that's all i heard.

I love the Sitar!

I love the Sitar. I like it in all sorts of places. I like it when it's used in ways it shouldn't be and I like it traditionally. I like sitar funk from India. I like sitar in lame pop songs form the 60's. My brother and I used to sing the Ray Stevens song "Guitarzan" as, "Sitarzan! And his raga band! Give him a hand... Sitarzan". I know that's dorky. I wanted to post some of my faves...
