All Music GuideWhat separates Unbunny from the rest of the one guy/one guitar anti-folk movement is that there's not one hint of any electronic backbeats or retro '80s quirkiness. By sticking with this traditional form of borderline Americana -- minus the twang and whisky soaked lyrics -- Fission Romance the West has an added caprice to go along with their high-pitched vocals and lo-fi recording style (not to mention their clever use of a jack-in-the-box).
