Overtones of psychedelia, blues-rock and even folk ballads transform the album from trip-hop into a a wildly eclectic fusion extravaganza that only works occasionally. Despite several highlights ("The Bird" and "We All Want to Be Free"), Let the Freak Flag Fly bears all the marks of its over two-year gestation period.
