I just got back from a business trip last night only to be confronted by jetlag, lack of sleep and time zone changes plus a full day at the office so I have yet to pick up Tracey Thorn's new album. Its the middle of the night and I'm wide awake - too bad Aoemba isn't open 24 hours.

I can't stop listening to Tracey Thorn's new album! The first track got to me right away - Here It Comes Again. The first track reminded me of Nico's Chelsea Girls album. I also felt it sounded like something Dusty Springfield would record. I love it!!!!! I stumbled on this back in the day when emusic was offering unlimited downloads as the subscription rate. I miss those days, damn. Um, this LP is nothing but her and layers of guitars and echo. Recorded in 1982, her thick, deep voice sounds almost callow here in her younger days, oh, and a kick ass Velvets cover.
