Count Basie dreamed of "Blue and Sentimental" which is here presented in a laid back style comparable to Basie's charts of the 1950's. After a coyly beginning, we get into a very muscular sax section rendition that swings hard before settling back into a slightly slower full ensemble exposition. The trombones lead us into a mellow blaze.
