I really hope I don't piss anybody off but I can't hold back any longer. The new Tindersticks album is due out one month from today. They would like it if you checked out their Myspace page (click on Tindersticks above) so that you can hear what will be their first single off the album, unfortunately I don't like it nearly as much as I like the one I'm posting here, "Yesterdays Tomorrows". A quick news tidbit for any Tindersticks fans out there ... the group has recently released a short film via Beggars Banquet in promotion for their wonderful new album The Hungry Saw, featuring commentary from singer Stuart Staples about the history of the band joined with choice snippets from the record. If it wasn't for the fact that its muggy and in the low '80s, just by looking out the widow right now you would swear it to be early November. Rain all day and clouds so solid you'd think the sun was about to set at any minute. Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD (funny how that worked out) usually sets in on me big time here in the north east, about a week after we "fall backwards". I made the terrible, horrible, hubris-laden mistake of searching for a clip from the movie Trouble Every Day on YouTube. My conscious mind was able to grasp what I was seeing, just as I would for any other horror movie. Fine and dandy there.
