Blog post image preview Now you know I'm not cynical. I would never suspect an artist of padding their resumes for PR purposes. It just isn't done.

Tim Fite releases his new album Fair Ain't Fair on ANTI- May 6th, but you can listen to the first single today. Stereogum has the mp3 for "Big Mistake" which they describe as:
The song has a languid, cowpoke-tinged feel to it, but bubbles with various strains of bleeps and shouts streaming beneath the surface. ... Musically, it makes us think of Uncle Cracker (seriously) and Eels with a slight Animal Collective inseam.
You can catch Tim Fite at the ANTI- showcase at SXSW... MORE

Blog post image preview Last night I drove down to Pittsburgh for a 12$ My Brightest Diamond Concert at the Andy Warhol Museum. The opening act was none other than Tim Fite. At first his unique style and artistic set up and approach to live preformances was enrapting. But it quickly went from bad to worse. His swearing was unacceptable. His performance would have been great if not for his profanity. I'm suprised Shara would have him with her on tour becase she never uses any foul language at all.... MORE

... so I was expounding on the greatness that is Tim Fite, and I totally neglected to give at least a link to share his greatness. Damn, I'm a rude bastard. Anyways, head over to the Tim Fite website and click on the 'free downloads' button, where you'll find that Tim has conveniently made the entirety of his latest (and best album), Over the Counter Culture, available for, you guessed it, free downloading. While the entirety of 2 Minute Blues is also available, I'd su... MORE

Blog post image preview Just found out an old friend from my college days just got hired as the Music Director (and morning show co-host) over at Vermont's WEQX-FM. So best. Though not-at-all nefarious means, I became aware of Tim Fite this morning. For those who don't know, Tim Fite rules because he's an eclectic indie amalgamation of Eminem and Cex's Being Ridden disc. It's humorous, but pretty fierce at the same time. Yeah. Tim Fite is awesome. Also, I'm gonna admit to drinking Puf... MORE

Still on the Tim Fite tip.

(6)
Lotsa tedious stuff going on today - trying to clean out my work e-mail account while (FIVE DAYS LATER) still attempting to make sense of all the random files stuffed all over my computer. Got some video clips to compress for DVD burning, and potentially more to pull. Need to start researching small tripods for a hand-held HD cam we currently have housed in Guatemala with one of our Nobel Laureates, as well ... So many insignificant things to work on ... and yet, I sur... MORE

In the shadows of any circle of friends there is that one person who never said much, but carried a certain presence to them.Tim Fite is one such artist, his style is truly all of his own, or at least i cant put my finger on it. His sound is best described as a delicate mix of a lot of counter culture genre's, such as trip-hop,instrumental hip hop, and blues. I cant stress how different his sound is. it just best you listen
