Why do I spend money I don't have trekking back and forth across the country to attend every music festival that I can possibly make time for? The answer my friends, is in the song...as always
Why are the beautiful ones always crazy? Can somebody answer me that...anyone?
No...I know you can't...it's one of the great mysteries of this life. Somehow I thought asking out loud would make it more answerable...not so much.

Tim Easton - 'Festival Song' MP3
~~
Original Story: http://swill-merchant.blogspot.com/2008/08/fest...
The air was soft, the stars so fine, the promise of every cobbled alley so great that I thought I was in a dream - Jack Kerouac <><><> My time has come. Everything is about packed into the back of my little SUV andI am ready to set sail. I will have limited internet access this weekend...you don't think I would go to Lollaplooza and NOT report on it did you? But besides those posts it may be a week or two before I get steady access again, so I wanted to thank ALL o... MORE
Somebody must have linked the post i did featuring the new Rilo Kiley tune to some place on the web. It says that song as been listened to 1423 times...which is about 1400 more than I have ever seen on one of my posts... So, I ask you the phantom guy who linked my post to some place, won't you PLEASE do that again for this song? I love Rilo Kiley, but they have pretty much made it. Now I would like Tim Easton to get Rilo Kiley-ish exposure... Work you magic oh myster... MORE
Got a call from my ex girlfriend tonight...and as SOON as I got off the phone I played this song...I don't ever want to go back to Ohio...EVER!
Did she really think that after all of the nonsense we went through that I would come running home the second she left her current guy? Well...i'm not...no way! Ohio is all PAST TENSE as far as I am concerned...
I love it out west...and I am not looking back...
Leave it to Tim Easton, Columbus ex-pat and all around cool guy, to tell it like it is.
"Thank God I'm getting older and just learning who I am..."
This one goes out to anyone brave enough to take the road less traveled...
Tonight's tour stop on the 'Goodbye Ohio' trek is to Little Brother's to see the capital city's own Tim Easton. Hands down my favorite venue in Columbus. Its fitting that I am leaving town this summer, as Little Brothers has been sold down the river to make room for some posh meat market type of bar...I just assume not live here anyway if they take Little Brother's away. The bastards! Tim Easton writes some of the best 'lost love' songs i have ever heard...here is one ... MORE
Tim reposted this on his website...an old demo he recorded for the Ammunition sessiouns, co-written by Gary Louris of the Jayhawks.
A great track that I used to have in my collection, it made my day to see that he made it available for free download!
Man, I wish I could have written those lyrics. I always find these great things to say to save a relationship AFTER the fact...oh well, I may start dating again...and if I do, I will have Tim Easton's witty banter at the ready
I love that lyric...and I think I will make it my lyric o'the week. Here is another gem from Columbus' own Tim Easton...who was smart enough to move out to Joshua Tree, California.
Its been like weeks since my last Tim Easton post! Been listening to 'Ammunition; lately, mostly because this cd sounds as a nice, quiet protest to the state of the world these days!
Here is a great Doc Watson cover off of that album.
The prodigal son returns...he is both a friend and a favorite songwriter of mine, and FINALLY he is playing a hometown show on Wed night. I shamelessly plug his music every chance I get...he is just that good of a guy. Tim Easton...the pride of Columbus, OH....well him and Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's...and Jack Hannah, the animal guy....and Jack Nicklaus...the golfer...but thats it!
Thanks to mogger edieandy for bringing this website to our attention.

and the actual whacked out link

Once again proving that its not the Bible that freaks me out, but the whacked out ways in which some people interpret it. Singer/songwriter and fellow Columbus-ite Tim Easton feels the same way...listen.
This makes me so happy. I am a huge Tim Easton fan, and to see that someone has made a Dr Who themed tribute video set to one of his tunes has me smiling from ear to ear. He has gone global!! Different dimension even....
And I have to say that the production value of this show has been enhanced JUST a bit from the last time I saw it...er, like the late 80's probably!
