All Music GuideEver since his debut, altoist Tim Berne has pursued his own musical vision, forming an original style that is very much in the avant-garde yet not derivative of any of his predecessors. On this, his second session as a leader, Berne teams up with some of the West Coast's top musicians (including Vinnie Golia on a variety of reeds, guitarist Nels Cline and bassist Robert Miranda) to perform some very creative music that deserves more than one close listen.
