It happens to every band nowadays, this style of modern living, the stresses, the lack of trust. Despite this, Thrice never expected to leak quite this early. Their upcoming sixth studio album - Beggars - made its way to the internet a full three months before its October 13, 2009 release date, a security breach blamed on antiquated security systems and the industrious youth of America.
The first single from post-hardcore forefathers, Thrice's new album will make its début via Activision's Guitar Hero series as downloadable-content. The song, "All the World is Mad", will appear on the Vagrant Records DLC pack for Guitar Hero: World Tour from July 23, 2009.
Ray posted back in March that Thrice were back in the studio working on their 7th studio album. Just a few more updates. The band announced that the new album will be entitled Beggars and it should be coming out in October this year. Here’s an excerpt from the press release announcing the new release [...]
Smoky moments of eerie foreboding mix with casually constructed guitar riffs in an album that scorns heavy production in favor of group cohesion and a well-worn texture.
An earlier-than-expected digital release for Thrice’s sixth studio album, Beggars, has meant an expanded package with a download card featuring five bonus tracks - one of which, fans will be pleased to discover, is their cover of The Beatles‘ Helter Skelter, a live favourite.
