I listen to a lot of music, and own a bajillion different cds. It's funny though that I always end up coming back to Thrice when I need something good to listen to. I always notice something different everytime I listen to any of their albums. It's like watching a good movie over and over again, you pull something new from it or gain some new perspective on it each time you watch it. No one does music like they do.

I had to take a step back for a minute. Been really stressed out lately, and just needed to remove myself from the madness, it's good to do that sometimes. I was shown how lucky I am to be alive at all. All the horror stories from my drug days could fill a volume of encyclopedias, and the fact that I'm allowed in my family's houses...amazing. Can anyone explain the current trend of hardcore/punk rockers taking a break from their respective bands in an attempt to forge a solo folk/alt-country career. It is just becoming too common to ignore! Take, for instance, Nikola Sarcevic from Millencolin [love it!!!] or Matt Davies (The Secret Show) from Funeral For A Friend [leave it...]. well, i checked out thrice's alchemy index the other day--their recording website, and thrice's drummer, riley breckenridge, posted the following: "oh and guess what? so i've been following Thrice's progress on recording for their newest album at www6.islandrecords.com/thrice/ , and i'm stoked. they decided to self-produce the concept album, and it will come in the form of 4 discs, each themed after one of the elements (wind, water, earth, and fire). sounds like an interesting idea, and if anyone can pull it off, it would be thrice. the music and the lyrics will correlate to each elemental theme. also, each disc will include a sonnet ab...
