Thomas Edward Yorke, born October 7, 1968 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England, is an English musician, best known as the lead singer of the English rock band Radiohead. He has also recorded as a solo artist Yorke mainly plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar and piano, but he has also played drums and bass guitar (notably during the Kid A and Amnesiac Radiohead sessions). In other Thom Yorke news, the Radiohead frontman will guest DJ on NPR 's "All Songs Considered" show on Valentine's Day (Feb 14th).
According to HARP Mag:
During the show, Yorke plays tracks from some of his favorite artists, and in between the music he talks with host Bob Boilen about where he finds new music, about Radiohead’s recent release In Rainbows and about his 2006 solo album The Eraser. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke sent out a a rather quIRky meSSage to his TheEraser.com email list. In it he reminds us of the recently released series of remixes or "rmxs" of 3 tracks from The Eraser(XL), his solo album released July 2006.
Although the tracks are 'available for download' they are not free. Boomkat.com has priced all 3 tracks at a non negotiable £2.95. No In Rainbows free ride here folks.

The releases come in the form of three different 12" records via XL Recordings. The Drunkk Machine is taken from a Japanese Import called Spitting Feathers.
It is a B-Side from The Eraser,
one of the best albums of 2006. Thom seemed to predict the flooding which has occurred recently in the UK,
and which ironically has affected his home town of Abingdon in Oxford. More Glitchy, Twitchy Paranoia from the lazy eyed one.
He really is the Master of the post-modern approach to music making! P.S.
Can't wait for the new Radiohead album.

I have come to find that since my official 2 months of being a proud resident here at Mog that .... well .... it's just plain addictive!!! This was just as great as finding Gold!! Didn't know this video existed until a fellow Mogger ( Sam The Artist {http://mog.com/Sam_The_Artist/blog_post/77447#comments} ) made a posting on Thom Yorke with this same video/track , and I have to agree is the best thing to hear come out of Thom's mouth... from the lyrics to the chords, very moving. 2honestly, i think thom is just as conceded as kanye west, but that doesnt change the fact that he is probably one of the most gifted musicians of our time. heres an amazing live performance of him playing "cymbal rush" off his solo album "the eraser" a must own for the radiohead fan. i love it when the hihat kicks in!...
