Were the Zombies the greatest British Invasion band aside from the Beatles and the Stones? That used to be a far-fetched thought/question until a lot of artists like Eric Matthews and Jason Faulkner began to ape their style in the 1990's. Since then, in the mid-1990's, Zombie Heaven, an all-encompassing 4-CD box set was released. But, for a long time, this record, Time Of The Zombies, was about the only place where you could get an excellent, complete overview of their recorded output. Aside from the complete Odessay And Oracle album, this two-LP set contains the best of their 1964-1966 records. These tracks such as "I Remember You," "Walking In The Sun," "Tell Her No," "She's Not There" and numerous others, are collected here, and show you 28 reasons why they should be mentioned in the same breath as The Beatles.
