Have you ever suggested to some friends, friends that you have the utmost respect for their opinions, to join you for a show from band you love and are pretty sure they’d like too? Did you feel some trepidation that the band may not measure up, that your friends may wonder what in the blasted Hell were you thinking? I've spent the last week in the Great Northwest... Seattle, Portland and finally... the Sasquatch! Music Festival at The Gorge in eastern Washington (the most stunning site for a concert I've ever experienced... well-worth checking out!) The good folks from the Festival had 72 different artists create a poster for each of the 72 bands playing at the three-day event. I was given The Whigs. Athens, Georgia must be a hot bed of talent. I've already waxed poetic about Dead Confederate and now get ready for gushing for The Whigs. I had heard their latest album and enjoyed it, which put them on the "must see" list for Sasquatch. What I didn't expect was to be so entralled by their set.
